Our Story
De Leon Barbershop was founded in 2019 by Dean De Leon II, a passionate barber who turned a lifelong dream into reality. After spending years honing his craft in various barbershops, Dean and his wife decided to take a leap of faith and open a barbershop of their own. It wasn’t easy to find the right moment, but the desire to create a space where both clients and barbers could thrive ultimately drove him to pursue his dream.
From an early age, Dean had a natural talent for barbering. Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, he began cutting hair as a child, practicing on friends and family. By middle school, Dean was already charging friends a small fee for haircuts, and his passion only grew from there. After high school, Dean took his first professional barber job, working long hours to perfect his skills. Despite trying other career paths after relocating to Florida in the early 2000s, barbering always called him back. He eventually returned to the chair, cutting hair in shops across Hialeah and Miami Lakes before making the decision to build something of his own.
De Leon Barbershop was born out of Dean’s love for barbering and his vision of what a barbershop should be—a place where clients feel valued, and barbers feel like family. More than just a haircut, it’s about creating an atmosphere where everyone feels at home.
